About Us

Buddy Morrison is the owner of Southern Shores Genealogy. He is a member of the Mayflower Society at the General Society of Mayflower Descendants, the New England Genealogical Society, the Connecticut Genealogical Society, and the National Genealogical Society. Buddy currently is writing his “Outside the Box Genealogy” articles for the local paper, the Breeze, along with blogging for GeneaBloggers’.

Buddy graduated recently from the Boston University Online Certificate in Genealogical Research and the Online Genealogy Principles Courses. He is working towards accreditation in the ICAPgen and the Board for Professional Genealogists.

Buddy is from New England but resides in Lake Lure, NC, with his wife, Crystal, and their two dogs.
